Welcome to Linux n’ More!
C.T.’s Story
Linux n’ More is a blog owned and operated by C.T., a computer enthusiast from Dallas, Texas. His main interests include open source software, specifically Linux and BSD. His story with computers spans back to the age of 12, when he first learned about electronics in a remote cabin during a winter scouting camp. At 14, he learned the rudiments of Python, then going on to exceed in the intricacies of Java at the age 16. Later, his interest in computing took a backseat as he went on to briefly study the classics in New Mexico. Returning to Texas, he began to study technology, learning about various topics, from web scraping with BeautifulSoup4 and various GIS technologies that were utilized in-person with theodolites and other surveying instruments.
Soon, his interests turned towards open source technologies, realizing the importance of freedom of use as a fundamental right for software. Since then, he has aspired towards activism for open source technologies, and the fight against intellectual property law's choke-hold on so much information and data. With the rise of SaaS, C.T. seeks to empower everyday users to step away from monthly subscription fees, and into a world where ownership of property means ownership outright.
Eventually creating this blog, C.T.’s journey has led him to seeking to promote FOSS operating systems and softwares in a digestable and friendly manner to a broad audience. From tutorials to reviews, C.T. will be here for it.
